Blog- Switching Gears

The best way to stay on track losing weight is to change one thing at a time. It is different for everybody, but I can only talk for what has helped me; in hopes of helping somebody else. First I would start by cutting down on dinner portions at night since we don’t usually expend a lot of energy at that part of the day. Second I would cut out all the sugary beverages. Replace sodas or sugary juices with fruit, tea, water, and low fat milk. Next I would stock up on healthy snacks to eat throughout the day. Fruit, unsalted nuts, vegetables, non-fat yogurt are some of the many options. I would recommend getting creative, reading labels, and mix ‘n matching different foods so it doesn’t get boring. Another good idea is to take out all of the white foods. Whole wheat bread ,or brown rice is the way to go. Finally, try to incorporate exercise, even the smallest amount is a help. So go for it. Just by incorporating one, two , or even three of these steps through time will make a difference.
